I need to know if I was scammed and what to do about it. Then went to Control Panel to uninstall it, but I couldn't find it. I asked if I shouldn't be able to call MS myself to verify, and he said fine, but my computer was going to be wiped of all info within 4 hours and hung up. When he connected me, the next guy told me it would be $100 for 3 years, and when I asked more detailed questions, like why was I still able to use my computer and get into my MS programs, he got angryĪnd said he had other calls coming in and was going to end the call.

In answer to my question, he said he was from Tech Support and was going to help get me to someone who could get It was someone with what sounded like an Indian accent telling me my Windows key had expired.
